RN Design was founded in 1986 by Roddy Novotny in Los Angeles, California. Born in Czechoslvakia he was trained as a tailor and worked for one of the largest fashion house companies in Europe. Moving to the United States he continued his career in fashion creating custom pieces for celebrities. Roddy made his mark working with leather goods which grew into a huge demand for his crafted belts and handbags. Roddy believes that the skilled handmaking of these pieces one by one at his shop in the USA insures the best quality possible. The business is managed by his wife Soo who works with Roddy side by side. They are constantly and currently producing new designs for some of the most exclusive shops internationally.
